The entertainers booking startup, which connects users with live singers, anchors, emcees, magicians, musicians, makeup artists, bands, VJs and DJs through its online portal and Android app, had raised Rs 50 lakh in a seed round from private investors early this year.
"JilMore currently caters to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We intend to utilise the proceeds from the Pre-Series-A round to expand pan-India during the 2016 calendar," Rasala told mediapersons on Monday.
JilMore has roped in playback singer S P Balasubramanyam as its mentor. The startup has seen over 120 artistes enrolling themselves with the service, and expects to on-board 4,000 more by March 2016.
"Banquet and marriage halls in AP and Telangana are around 10,000, witnessing a 60 per cent occupancy. And, almost 50 per cent of customers prefer an entertainer at a cost starting Rs 10,000 to perform live and make their event more colourful and eventful," he said, adding that JilMore was targeting to grab two per cent of this opportunity in the first year, and 10 per cent in two years from then.
