E-commerce major Flipkart on Monday said it has sold 150 million products in in 2015, one and half times growth over the last year as it adds more categories and improved distribution to smaller towns.
Flipkart has added more categories such as home & furnishing and maternity products, set up off-line distribution stores and increased delivery presence in smaller towns across India.

"It has been a long journey from selling our first book to selling 150 million products. We both are humbled and energized to strengthen our efforts to build India's largest shopping platform that can service every Indian and delight them every step of the way, " said Sachin Bansal, CEO and Co-Founder, Flipkart said in a statement.
Currently, Flipkart offers more than 30 million products across 70 different categories that could be broadly categorised in electronic, apparel and clothing, footwear, accessories and furniture baskets. It has both buyers' and sellers' platforms widening the reach of both the demand and supply.

"This milestone is testimony to the phenomenal scale we have built from our selection to technology platform to supply chain capabilities," said Mukesh Bansal, Head - Commerce Platform, Flipkart. It has about 45 million registered users and 30,000 sellers with 10 million daily visits. The company looks to expand its seller base to 100,000 by the end of 2015.
The company has recently introduced 20 experience zones for its customers in 10 cities across the country, where customers could walk in at their own convenience and collect products ordered online.
