Gamesa India bags 250 MW wind power project from Orange Renewable

Deal mandates installation of Gamesa G97-2.0MW T-104m wind turbines across the identified sites

Gamesa said as a policy the company will not disclose the value of the transaction.

Promoted by AT Holdings Pte. Ltd, Singapore, Orange Renewable (OR) is focused on developing, constructing and operating renewable energy projects in the field of wind and solar.

Under this agreement, Gamesa will supply 125 units of G97 - 2.0MW - T104 across the three identified sites. While 100 MW at Ananthapur and 50MW at Ratlam are scheduled to be completed by March 2016, the 100 MW project in Agar, Madhya Pradesh is to be commissioned by September 2016.

For the 100 MW project in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, Gamesa will be responsible for providing turnkey solutions where as in the 150 MW Madhya Pradesh, it will be responsible for project supply, erection and commissioning. The agreement also includes a long term operations and maintenance agreement.

 

Ramesh Kymal, Chairman and Managing Director- Gamesa India said that wth a turbine made for India, the company expect to deliver better generation for the clients and contribute positively to India's renewable energy capacity addition targets.
