Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

FMCG major HUL on Friday said it has incorporated a new subsidiary Kwality Wall's for the proposed demerger of the ice cream business of the company.
Kwality Wall's (India) Ltd (KWIL) has been incorporated "for the purpose of the proposed demerger of the company's ice cream business, which is currently under evaluation by the Board of the company," the FMCG major said in a regulatory filing.
HUL will own 100 per cent of the issued and subscribed share capital of KWIL.
Earlier on November 25, 2024, HUL approved the demerger of the ice cream business, which owns brands like Kwality Wall's, Cornetto and Magnum into an independent listed entity.
The existing shareholders of the FMCG major will receive shares in the new entity in proportion to their shareholding in HUL, it had said.
The board of HUL decided to de-merge the ice cream business, based on the recommendation of the Independent Committee, which was formed by the FMCG major earlier in September 2024.

Waaree Energies on Friday said it has inked a share purchase agreement to acquire entire equity stake in Enel Green Power India Pvt (EGPIPL) for a consideration of up to Rs 792 crore.
The seller is one of Europe's largest renewable energy companies, and the EGPIPL is its Indian business, a regulatory filing stated.
Waaree Energies Ltd has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Enel Green Power Development S.r.l (Seller) on January 10 to acquire 100 per cent of the share capital of EGPIPL for a total amount of upto Rs 792 crore, subject to customary closing adjustments, according to the filing.
The EGPIPL owns solar and wind projects in India which includes about 640 MWAC (760 MWDC) operational and portfolio under development.
The operational portfolio includes projects jointly owned with a partner where the majority equity stake is with EGPIPL.
Further, pursuant to the acquisition of shares, EGPIPL will become a subsidiary of Waaree Energies.

Air India aims to make line maintenance works of aircraft in-house at its 55 domestic stations by April, the airline's CEO Campbell Wilson said on Friday.
Line maintenance works of the planes are carried at 55 domestic stations (airports) and the airline has been working on doing the activities in-house amid expanding fleet.
In a message to the employees, Wilson said the airline is making good progress on taking control of its line maintenance, with 42 of its 55 domestic stations now handled directly by Air India staff.
"This gives much greater control on quality and timeliness and enables us to conduct a wider range of maintenance tasks in-house, including lighter checks during extended transits and overnight stops," Wilson, who is the CEO and MD of the Tata Group-owned airline, said.
He also said that in-housing of the remaining 13 stations is on track to be completed by April.
Loss-making Air India has embarked on an ambitious transformation plan.

JSW Energy on Friday said its arm JSW Neo Energy has completed the acquisition of 125 MW of renewable energy assets from Hetero Group for an enterprise value of about Rs 630 crore.
The 125 MW portfolio comprises wind projects located in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra and have long term power purchase agreements, a regulatory filing said.
According to the filing, JSW Neo Energy Ltd (JSW Neo), a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has completed the acquisition of 125 MW of renewable energy assets from Hetero Labs Ltd and Hetero Drugs Ltd housed under three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
The portfolio has a blended tariff of Rs 5.22/KWh and an average remaining plant life of 15 years.
The total locked-in capacity of the company stands at 24.7 GW which consists of a diverse fuel mix and offtakers.

Adani Group on Friday raised Rs 4,850 crore from the sale of 13.5 per cent of its stake in Fortune oil maker Adani Wilmar as part of a strategy to exit non-core activities to focus on main infrastructure business.
