Info Edge acquires TooStep.com

TooStep has developed a SaaS platform that enables recruiters to propagate jobs on social networking sites

Info Edge, one of the largest internet companies in India today acquired the business of TooStep Consultancy (www.toostep.com). TooStep has developed a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform which enables recruiters to propagate jobs on social networking sites and search engines and manage all the responses in one place as well.  The team of Toostep has joined Info Edge as a part of the acquisition, done through a slump sale basis.

Hitesh Oberoi, CEO, Info Edge India said, "The acquisition will significantly benefit InfoEdge as the Product and Technical expertise and experience of the TooStep team can be used for developing new features that can be integrated with Naukri.com and offered to all 45000+ customers." The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

 

Info Edge (India) owns and manages some of the brands like Naukri.com Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, Shiksha.com apart from Quadrangle-an offline executive search firm and Naukri Gulf. Info Edge also owns Brijj.com, a professional networking site and Allcheckdeals.com, a real estate brokerage firm.

Apart from this Info Edge has made significant strategic investments into emerging internet companies – meritnation.com, policybazaar.com, mydala.com, 99labels.com and zomato.com.

TooStep Founders, Manav Gupta & Ravi Pratap added that this would give them the platform to take their innovative recruiting solutions to each and every recruiter in India and overseas. Through the TooStep portal and the application, an individual can create an online brand, showcase his/her work and get access to unadvertised jobs from premier recruiters.
