Wind energy developer Mytrah Energy Limited has awarded an equipment sale contract to Suzlon Group for a 98-Mw windmill project it is planning to set up at Nazeerabad in Rangareddy district of Telangana. The value of the contract is about Rs 700 crore, according to a spokesperson of Suzlon.
The project is the 3rd repeat order awarded by Mytrah to Suzlon Energy wherein Suzlon has already commissioned a 310-Mw wind energy project for the company so far and 205-Mw is under execution in Rajasthan, Maharashtra and AP, the company release said. The order is part of a business partnership agreement signed with Mytrah in May 2010 for purchase of one giga watt turbines from Suzlon, it said.

Mytrah Energy chairman and CEO Ravi Kailas stated the Nazeerabad project was one of 300 Mw capacity under execution and would take their capacity past 840 Mw in 2016.
