PVR Cinemas today announced launch of its five screens multiplex at Grand Mall, Velachery in Chennai.
This will be first big launch at Velachery, which is yet to recover from recent heavy rains and flood.
With this, PVR's total screens count stands at 482 of 108 properties pan-India spread across 44 cities.
The newly-launched multiplex spread over in an area of 50,000 sq ft with a capacity of 1,275 seats. With this launch, the multiplex chain strengthens its presence in southern India with 110 screens in 17 properties.
PVR had set a target to cross the mark of 500 screen this year.
