For this project, Wabag will employ ‘activated sludge process’ with biogas-based power generation. This process will help the plant generate power from biogas and the plant will be self-sustainable using this ‘green energy’.
This will not only help the project reduce its operational costs, but will also reduce carbon emissions and, thus, will qualify for carbon credits, the company said in a statement.
