According to official sources today, this broad-gauge railway line will be completed by the end of 2011.
Gohana railway station will be made a junction wherefrom the railway line will be constructed towards Jind with Pandu Pindara and Jind railway stations.
Similarly, the railway line between Gohana and Sonepat will get Bhambewa and Mohana crossing railway stations.
Official sources also revealed that during the first phase, the Railways will construct the platforms of the railway stations which will cost Rs 231 crore. Half of the cost will bear the state government and the remaining half by the railways.

Meanwhile, the "bhoomi pujan" ceremony was held at Gohana railway station about 35 km from here yesterday in the presence of a large number of residents and officials of the various departments.
Official sources said that in all 13 railway stations will be constructed between Sonepat and Jind. The railway line will be started from Jind junction, Pandu Pindara, lalit Khera, Bhambewa (crossing station), Issapur Kheri, Butana, Khandrai, Gohana junction, Tubra, lath, Mohana (crossing railway station), Barwasni and Sonepat.
Moreover, atleast 14 bridges will also be constructed on this railway line which will pass through the drains and canals.
