Private sector lender Yes Bank on Wednesday said it will spend Rs 250 crore towards livelihood and water security and environment sustainability over four years.
The fund would be spend on these key focus areas by 2020 through its focused and intensified Corporate social responsibility (CSR) actions, Yes Bank said in a statement.
"We have approved a 5-year plan instead of looking at socio-economic interventions on a limited, yearly basis. We remain committed to touching 10 crore lives by 2020 by providing access to safe and clean drinking water, and mobilising $5 billion towards climate finance in India," Yes Bank MD Rana Kapoor said.

The bank also committed to achieve target funding of 5,000 mw of clean energy and gradually increase percentage of renewable energy in its power portfolio, he said.
He also said the bank has partnered with the Railways to provide safe and clean drinking water at 1,000 stations by 2019.
