Fischer Motorcycles plans to enter India and other developing markets with its new range of motorcycles. Fischer at the moment sells MXR 650 in certain developed markets, but now it plans to enter India with its new 150cc bike.
Fischer Motorcycles plans to introduce a new sports fairing bike in India, under the name of MRX 150. This will be the company's 150cc bike against the Honda CBR150R. The MRX 150 will be based on the MRX 650 bike's styling, however this will be a smaller bike.
We can expect Fischer to come in next year, but these bikes will be CKD or CBU. At the moment, the bikes are made in the American continent. For India, we can expect them to set-up a plant for assembly in Northern India. CBU might not be a good idea and just like Harley Davidson, Fischer is likely to make India its new manufacturing base for Asian countries and export the 150cc bike from New Delhi. We couldn't get in touch with the company official yet.
Benelli and Hyosung have entered the Indian market as a JV with DSK and there are more bike makers, who are eyeing for the Indian market as their new base to manufacture and export. Even the recently started Make-in-India campaign, several companies are coming to India seeing a large potential in the Indian market. DSK will also be soon manufacturing bikes, rather than just assembling them.
