Alec Baldwin has apologized after he sent out a series of violent Tweets, which was aimed at a journalist, who claimed his wife Hilaria was using her phone during James Gandolfini's funeral, on Thursday.
The 55-year-old actor claimed that though his wife was not tweeting during the funeral at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Manhattan, he is going to tweet at the writer's funeral, People magazine reported.
In one of the homophobic tweets, Baldwin addressed the British reporter by calling him "toxic little queen".
He later issued an apology and defended using the word "queen" for the writer.
In a statement to Glaad, he said that he had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone's sexual orientation.
The Twitter account has since been deleted.
