Another Chinese cargo ship has reached the Gwadar port.

According to port sources, the Chinese ship Hung Ching on Wednesday anchored in Gwadar Port, reports the Daily Times.

The cargo ship was loaded with nearly 60 containers and around 238 different packages of free trade zone.

The first trade convoy carrying goods for export through the western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) arrived at Gwadar Port in November last year.

Through Gwadar the goods would be exported to Middle East and African countries.

The CPEC corridor is about 3,000-kilometre long consisting of highways, railways and pipelines that will connect China's Xinjiang province to the rest of the world through Gwadar port.

Considered to be a part of China's One Belt, One Road initiative, the USD 51 billion project covers Balochistan and Sindh provinces and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India has formally opposed the CPEC because it runs through PoK, which is a disputed territory.
