Hours before US President Barack Obama landed in New Delhi, Pakistani forces on Sunday violated the ceasefire agreement along the International Border in the R S Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to reports, Pakistani soldiers targeted Indian forward posts along the border with mortars and small arms with unprovoked firing in the early hours of the day.
The Border Security Force personnel deployed in the sector returned fire, with both forces exchanging rounds for a reported two hours.
No casualties have been reported.
