The Islamic State is relying on a cadre of young and brutal women to ensure strict adherence of Sharia Law by females of its self-styled caliphate.

According to FOX News, the brigade dubbed Al-Khansa consists of about 60 armed women between the ages of 18 and 24 who patrol the Islamic State's Syrian stronghold and terrorize females who fail to keep up to the standard of strict Sharia.

Their duty is to detain and beat women who disrespect Islam by exposing their ankles or wrists and walk in public without males escorts.

Dan O'Shea, of GROM Technologies, a Florida-based international security firm specializing in recovering kidnap victims, said that this was a case of the morality police enforcing their strict version of Islam on other woman, adding it was all part of ISIS' social media campaign and the brand they were trying to sell.

O'Shea said the women were lured in with the offer of a monthly salary of a couple hundred dollars along with food, shelter, basic firearms training and a promise of spiritual rewards.

However, Robert Young Pelton, journalist, author and filmmaker who has been to the war torn zones for his work and films, said that even though the Al-Khansa brigade was active in providing support in fundraising, smuggling weapons and intelligence gathering, they were not treated well, and not considered integral to the movement, the report added.
