North Korea has reportedly made new tunnel entrances at its nuclear test site in a bid to conduct more underground explosions in the near future, a United States research institute has revealed.

The U.S. research institute, 38 North, claimed that latest satellite imagery showed enlarged heaps of soil from excavations and construction, probably intended to upgrade support buildings near Pyongyang, News24 reports.

However, the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies denied any chances of a test explosion.

Earlier, North Korea had conducted its third and most powerful nuclear test in February, which drew international sanctions.
