A new survey has found that one in four Americans aren't aware the Earth revolves around the Sun.
The poll of 2,200 Americans, conducted by the National Science Foundation revealed that only 74 percent knew that the Earth orbits the Sun, Metro.co.uk reported.
The survey also showed that just 48 percent of respondents believed humans evolved from other species of animals, while only 39 percent said they believed in the Big Bang.
The biennial survey is due to be presented to US president Barack Obama.
