A man has been again arrested for cannibalism after the head of a newborn baby was found at his home in Pakistan.

Mohammad Arif and his brother were arrested for the same offence three years ago.

The two brothers were earlier sentenced for eating five corpses dug out from a graveyard in Bhakkar district.

Police arrested Arif on Monday and found a child's body parts at his home.

According to Dawn News, the other brother, Mohammad Farman, managed to flee before he could be detained.

Police said Arif confessed to eating human body parts during interrogation.

The two brothers, Arif, 35, and Farman, 30, had dug up more than 100 corpses from the local graveyard and eaten them in 2011, police said.

Farman and Arif were first arrested for cannibalism in 2011, which lead to extensive national and international media coverage.

The newly-buried body of a girl was found in their house with a few limbs cooked in a curry, the report added.
