Poet-diplomat Abhay K's 'The Seduction of Delhi' shortlisted for Muse India award

Poet-diplomat Abhay K's book of poems The Seduction of Delhi has been shortlisted for the final round of the Muse India - Satish Verma Young Writer Award 2015.

The other books of poetry shortlisted are: Aditi Rao's 'The Fingers Remember',Akhil Katyal's 'Night Charge Extra' ,Gankhu Sumnyan's 'Old Friends Parade' and Meera Nair's 'Grey'.

'Muse India - Satish Verma Young Writer Award is aimed at outstanding creative writers not older than 35 years of age for original works in English or translations into English from any India language in any creative genre (poetry, fiction, play, etc.) published in 2014 or 2015. The award will be presented during next Hyderabad Literary Festival (7-10 January 2016). It carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000 besides a certificate and a memento.

 

Past winners of the award are Anindita Sengupta for poetry and Meghna Pant for novel.

Abhay K has earlier received the SAARC Literature Award for his contribution to South Asian Poetry and nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
