Former Janata Dal-United leader, Sabir Ali on Wednesday met BJP leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and withdrew the defamation case filed against the latter by him.
It may be remembered that Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had opposed the induction of expelled Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader Sabir Ali into the party on grounds that he has been named as one of the accused in the murder of music mogul Gulshan Kumar and was a friend of Indian Mujahideen chief Yasin Bhatkal.
This led to the cancellation of Ali's membership from the BJP after he had barely joined the party and provoked the former JD-U leader to file a defamation case on Naqvi.
