Thailand ranked world's most religious country, China least

A survey has revealed that Thailand is the most religious country in the world, while China came at the bottom of the list.

94 percent people in Thailand and 93 percent people in Armenia, Bangladesh, Georgia and Morocco said they were religious, the Guardian reported.

While in China only 6 percent of people said they were religious whereas 61 percent said they were convinced atheists.

This was followed by Japan, where just 13 percent of people were religious, Sweden with 19 percent, Czech Republic with 23 percent, and the Netherlands and Hong Kong with 26 percent.

The UK was among the least religious countries in the world. In a global ranking of 65 countries, the UK came six places from last, with 30 percent of the population calling themselves religious.

 

While 53 percent of people said they were not religious, only 13 percent said they were a convinced atheist and the remainder did not know how to define themselves.
