Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko has emerged victorious in a fifth-round technical knockout of opponent Alex Leapai on Saturday to claim the combined world heavyweight title at the Koenig Pilsener Arena in Germany.

Klitschko (62-3) sent the Samoan-Australian boxer Leapai (30-5-3) for the second time in the fifth round to end the boxing bout and now holds the IBF heavyweight, IBO heavyweight, WBO heavyweight and WBA super world heavyweight title by recording 147 of the 157 landed punches for the entire bout.

According to Fox News, Klitschko opened the match by confounding Leapai with a quick punch that dropped the Samoan-Australian boxer to the canvas for an eight count, then went on to rain blows throughout the second, third and fourth rounds and finally subdued his opponent at the 2:05 mark in the final round with a crushing right to the jaw.

Klitschko has not lost a fight since retired American boxer Lamon Brewster floored him for a TKO on April 10, 2004 in Las Vegas to claim the vacant WBO heavyweight crown and has won 20 straight since then, the report added.
