A massive fire broke out in a garments factory here on Monday, reducing goods worth lakhs of rupees to ashes, the fire service said. There were no casualties.
He said the accident occurred at Tughlakabad Extension in south Delhi.
Fire-fighters evacuated over 30 holed-up workers and doused the flames around 4 p.m., the officer said.
The fire-fighters faced difficulty during the cooling operation because there was only one exit-entry point to the basement. Prima facie, the fire was ignited by a short circuit.
