HCL Technologies will manage customer care operations, including residential billing of Direct Energy services firm in North America, the company said Wednesday.
As per the agreement signed by the two entities, HCL will provide infrastructure hosting, application management and business process services to the US energy firm.
"We have selected HCL to provide customer care as it understands the complexities of our business and has domain expertise in running large-scale business operations in our Alberta market where regulators and customers seek enhanced service standards," Direct Energy president Steven Murry said in a statement here.
With its software tools and advanced technologies, HCL provides innovative solutions at lower risk to leading energy and utilities firms the world over.
"As Energy is focused on improving customer service, we will drive down costs for its customers with our domain expertise in such transformational projects," HCL vice-president for public services and emerging industries Todd Crandall said.
Focusing on 'transformational outsourcing', the $4.6-billion HCL offers integrated portfolio of services, including software-led IT solutions, remote infrastructure management, engineering and R&D services and business services.
