Slamming Narendra Modi over demonetisation, former MP and All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) Vice President Subhashini Ali said the Prime Minister is "guilty of picking women's pockets".

In the ongoing 11th national conference of AIDWA here, Ali spoke to IANS on the central government's demonetisation move. "Women are most affected by demonetisation," she said.

"It took many days for women to change their 'emergency savings' which were in spiked notes to new. Those who don't have bank accounts are still thinking over what needs to be done with old notes," she added.

On being asked to highlight the difference between Modi and his predecessor Manmohan Singh, Ali said: "Both have same economic policies and none is better. Both's policies are pro-US."
