Sassuolo (Italy), Aug 21 (IANS/AKI) A Moroccan man died after his throat was cut with a broken bottle in the northern Italian city of Sassuolo, media reports said.
An ambulance crew tried to save the Moroccan but he died from blood loss before reaching hospital late on Sunday, regional daily Il Resto del Carlino reported on Monday, citing local police.
The man was believed to be around 35 years old and was attacked during an apparent brawl in a local square frequented by drug dealers, police said, quoted by the daily.
Prosecutors in Sassuolo have opened a murder probe, according to Il Resto del Carlino.
Sassuolo is in the Emilia-Romagna region.
