Fire broke out in a multi-storeyed shopping-cum-office complex near a Delhi Metro station on Sunday, officials said. There were no reports of any injury in the blaze.
Fire service officials said the blaze erupted in the afternoon and more than two dozen fire tenders were being used to put out the flames. The building in west Delhi houses various offices as well as shopping units.
The complex, Pearls Business Park, lies close to a usually crowded Netaji Subhash Place Metro station near Wazirpur bus depot.
"We got the information around 4.20 (p.m.). The fire engulfed the eighth floor of the building. No one received any injury because the offices (in the building) were closed for the weekend," an official told IANS.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
