Gearing up for his new role as the protagonist in TV show "Ji Sirji", actor Annup Sonii says the audience will get to see him in a different role as opposed to the serious image that he has always portrayed.
In the show, which will be aired on BIG Magic as well as on 92.7 BIG FM, Annup will be tickling the funny bone of viewers and listeners, bringing forth day-to-day shenanigans in professional lives.
"Audiences have mostly seen me play serious roles on screen, but with 'Ji Sirji', they will see me in a different avatar. We will be doing various sketches and the best part is that each sketch will be different, even though the 'Boss vs Subordinate' theme remains constant," he said.
"I had a lot of fun shooting for the promos, and the audience should get a fair idea of what the show promises to deliver from an entertainment standpoint, based on these promos," Annup said in a statement.
Focusing on the relationship between bosses and their subordinates in the form of funny sketches, the show will have various actors playing roles of subordinates, who are usually at the receiving end of the whims and fancies of their respective bosses.
The 40-year-old will essay the role of an unreasonable boss with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder problem. He will portray a boss across professions, switching between a corporate executive, government employee and as a truck driver.
The show will also feature actor Gaurav Sharma.
