Simone Battle, member of the girls' group G.R.L. and a former "The X Factor" contestant, was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom here. She was 25.
She passed away in her home, said her father Anthony E. Battle.
According to law enforcement sources, her death appeared to be a suicide. She was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom around 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Her autopsy has not been completed, said the Los Angeles county coroner's office, reports hollywoodlife.com.
Her father said that her death is still under investigation.

Battle was best known for being "The X Factor" finalist in 2011, where she was mentored by judge Simon Cowell.
After "The X Factor", she joined the reboot of The Pussycat Dolls band after the original members left. By 2013, they were going by a new name, G.R.L.
The group recently starred alongside Pitbull in his music video for "Wild wild love".
