Indian women's hockey team forward Vandana Kataria completed her 100th international cap Thursday while playing against Canada in the Pool A opener of the Commonwealth Games here Thursday.
Known for her agility, Vandana has added the much required depth in the line-up since she has started playing for India.
"Hockey India (HI) is proud of Vandana today for reaching this feat and also for her contribution to the team. She has been consistent throughout and has made us take pride with her performances in the past. Wishing her all the best and look forward to more such contributions from her in the future," HI secretary general Narinder Batra said.
India won the match 4-2.
