It is around this time every year that young business school graduates try their luck at placements

A column I had written for this newspaper — provocatively titled “Placements, statistics and damned lies” — exactly three years ago popped up again on Facebook a few nights back. It was posted by none other than Madhukar Shukla, one of the senior-most and much-loved professors at XLRI, Jamshedpur.
