On the day the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders took oath of office, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari said the Congress decided to support the AAP after a peace deal was brokered between the two by an industrialist.
“In a big Delhi hotel, a prominent industrialist brokered a deal between the Congress and (Arvind) Kejriwal,” Gadkari was reported to have said. The former BJP president didn't say who the industrialist was.
Gadkari’s statement was denied by both the Congress and the AAP.
