SP announces five Lok Sabha candidates

The party top brass held a meeting in the state capital Wednesday to plan out the strategy for the Lok Sabha elections in 2014

The Samajwadi Party (SP) Wednesday replaced four Lok Sabha candidates and announced a new candidate for the Shrawasti Lok Sabha seat.

Shiv Kanya Kushwaha would be fielded from Ghazipur in place of Radhe Mohan Singh, stated party General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav.

Baleshwar Yadav replaces Ramendra Tripathi from Deoria, Bhalchandra will contest from Sant Kabir Nagar in place of Abdul Kalam while Bechai Saroj will contest from Lalganj reserved seat in place of Daroga Prasad Saroj.

The party also announced Yasir Shah as its candidate from Shrawasti. Shah is a sitting legislator and son of Waqar Shah, labour minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government.
