IIBS announces appointment of Prof. N S Ramaswamy as 'Chief Mentor'

International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS), one of the fastest growing B-School in India, has announced that it has appointed Prof. N S Ramaswamy, Former Founder Director of IIM, Bangalore as its “Chief Mentor”. Prof. N S Ramaswamy, with his vast experience in Management Education, would guide IIBS in its vision to become one among the top Business Schools in India with special focus on Ethical Values as an integral part of management studies.

IIBS is a well recognized B-School offering  2 years full time MBA (the Specializations available being Marketing, Finance, HR & IT) and the 2 years full time PGPBM (the Specializations available being Retail, Banking and Insurance, Hospitality Management & International Business) across all its 3 campuses at  Bangalore, Kolkata & Noida. The institute had recently announced 100% Internship Placement for the 2009-11 batch of students.

Prof. N S Ramaswamy, was the first Professor of Management in the University System and taught in Bajaj Institute of Management of Bombay University in 1952. He brought new dimensions to Management Education by taking Management Science to hitherto neglected sectors of the economy, such as Transport, Power, Education, Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Administration, Political System, etc. Recognising his pioneering contribution, Government of India appointed him as National Research Professor in Management, one of the twelve Professors for all fields in the country.

After retirement from IIM, Bangalore, he established two NGOs, namely CARTMAN, where he carries forward his work on Rural Development, Environment, Ecology and Appropriate Technology, and Indian Heritage Academy, where programmes on yoga, meditation, music, dance, lectures on philosophy, culture, Faculty Development programme, Leadership Development Programme etc. are being held.
