Three minor girls drowned today while bathing in a pond in Lokanpur village in Misrikh area here, police said.
Sajal (9), Sonam and Sati (both 7) were taking a bath in the pond this afternoon when they slipped into deep waters and subsequently drowned, they said.
The bodies were later fished out by the police with the help of locals, police said, adding they have been sent for postmortem.
Police said they are probing the matter.
