Five militants and a security personnel were killed in an exchange of gunfire in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province today.
A spokesman for the Frontier Corps told reporters that six people, including five militants and a security personnel, were killed when gunmen attacked a construction site in Turbat area of the province.
"The labourers were engaged in their work at the construction site when militants attacked them but the FC personnel retaliated as a result of which the attack was repulsed," Khan Wasey, spokesman for the Frontier Corps, said.

"FC quickly hit back and ensured security of the construction company's labourers," he said.
Wasey, however, said one security personnel was seriously injured during the clash and succumbed to his wounds on his way to the hospital.
Balochistan has been hit hard by militancy, sectarian and separatist violence with Turbat considered one of the most volatile areas of the province.
Militants in the area have been targeting security forces and pro-government people for over six years.
