A Delhi court has awarded seven years imprisonment each to three persons for trespassing into a jewellery shop and robbing a man of Rs 30,000 at gun point in 2013.
Additional Sessions Judge Paramjit Singh awarded the jail term to Hari Om, Arvind and Bhupender, all residents of Uttar Pradesh, who had robbed Harish Kumar Sharma of Rs 30,000 in his shop.
"Keeping in view the fact and circumstances of the present case and having regard to the nature and gravity of offence, I am of the considered opinion that convicts are not entitled to any leniency. However, in view of the family circumstances of the convicts, in my considered opinion, imposition of minimum sentence prescribed thereof shall meet the ends of justice in this case," the court said.

It awarded seven years imprisonment to the accused persons for various offences under IPC including house trespass and robbery and also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on each of them.
According to the prosecution, on November 16, 2013, all three committed trespass in the shop after and restrained the complainant and robbed him of Rs 30,000.
While committing robbery, the three accused persons showed country-made revolver to the victim.
While Hari Om and Bhupender managed to flee, Arvind was apprehended at the spot by the public present there and an FIR was registered in this regard. Later on, the other two accused were also arrested.
During the trial, the three men had claimed that they were innocent and were falsely implicated in the case.
