70 houses burnt in Arunachal fire

At least 70 houses were burnt in a fire that engulfed remote Kerang village in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Houses and properties worth crores were destroyed in the flame.

However, there was no report of any casualty, an official report said here today.

Chief Minister Nabam Tuki directed the concerned department to immediately provide relief to the victims.

He also sought a detailed report.

Demanding immediate relief assistance, the West Siang Disaster Management department has provided an amount of Rs 4000 each to the affected household.
