Spelling his stand on nuclear energy, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal today said his party was opposed to it because of the possible destruction in case of an accident.
"The destruction caused by nuclear power in case of an accident is enormous. This is why AAP is in-principle opposed to nuclear energy," Kejriwal said during the launch of the party's manifesto at his Tilak Road residence here.
AAP leaders Prashant Bhushan and Medha Patkar have earlier voiced their opinion against the use of nuclear energy and have advocated alternative means.
