After the success of its show 'Pradhanmantri', ABP channel will now telecast a new documentary-drama named '7 RCR... Projecting India's Future', which will profile the contenders for the post for Prime Minister in the upcoming polls.

The show, to be telecast from tomorrow and anchored by writer Chetan Bhagat, will be a dramatised biography of some prominent contenders for the powerful address of 7, Race Course Road, the official residence of the Prime Minister.

The serial will get new candidates each time and all cinematic techniques have been used within the objective parametres of news channel, its officials said.

"It is a dramatised biography. The show will present lives of possible PM candidates, their childhood and youth, their political agenda and other aspects of their life which the people should know," Bhagat told reporters here.

The 39-year-old writer said the show highlights two of his major interests - politics and story-telling -- and therefore doing the show was exciting for him.

The writer said he only wants his ideas to reach people irrespective of the medium. "I want my ideas to reach people and I didn't want to get bound in pages. TV is a powerful medium. Informed voters is very essential," he said.

"Youth follow me and if my coming lets to more youths watching, then it will be very good. Knowing the background of the PM's candidate is very essential because people not only vote for policies and parties but also the personality," Bhagat said.

Asked whether there will be depiction of names like Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi or even Arvind Kejriwal appearing prominently in the show or fictional characters, officials said that the show will have real depictions.

"All possible contenders will be dealt in this series. Their facts of life, politics, their personalities," said Shazi Zaman, Group Editor, ABP News told reporters.

The channel recently completed its much-acclaimed show 'Pradhanmantri' anchored by film-maker Shekhar Kapur. It was a detailed narration about the lives of all the people who have held the Prime Ministerial job of the country.
