Oscar-winning actor Maximilian Schell, best known for his role in 'Judgment at Nuremberg' as a defense lawyer, has died in Innsbruck, Austria. He was 83.
Schell died at an hospital on February 1. His wife, Iva, was also by his side, said his agent Patricia Baumbauer.
"He was suffering from a long illness. My mother was Schell's agent for over 50 years, and when she died four years ago, he remained with the agency. He was like a father to me and knew me my entire life," Baumbauer said.
