The Kerala government has roped in superstar Mohanlal as the goodwill ambassador of its "Subhayatra 2015" programme, an ambitious drive envisaged to create awareness about traffic rules.
The state police will implement the programme with the support of Transport, Education and Public Works departments and National Highway Authority, an official release said here today.
The government has drawn up the drive in the wake of increasing instances of on-road casualties across the state.
Besides the details of traffic rules, the drive would also create awareness among public about the necessity to follow such rules strictly, the release said.
