The upcoming 'Hitman' movie reboot has been pushed back until next summer.

Originally scheduled to debut in February, 'Agent 47' will now hit cinemas on August 28, reported Deadline.

The movie stars 'Homeland' star Rupert Friend as the eponymous Agent 47, a role previously played by Timothy Olyphant in the 2007 original.

'Agent 47' also stars Zachary Quinto as John Smith, Hannah Ware as Katia van Dees, and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' actor Thomas Kretschmann as the head of an international syndicate.

The late Paul Walker was originally attached to play the lead in the 20th Century Fox reboot.

The 2007 'Hitman' film was a critical flop but grossed USD 100 million worldwide.
