Decomposed bodies of a man and his daughter were found inside a well situated in a field in Thana Amar Singh village under Raya Police Station here, police said today.
The incident came to light yesterday when a farmer informed the police about foul smell emanating from a well situated in a field outside Thana Amar Singh village, said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Mathura.
Both the bodies were fished out of the well with the help of a JCB and identified as that of 54-year-old Gopal and his daughter, through an Aadhar card recovered from one of them, the police officer said.

Later, the elder daughter of Gopal also identified the bodies and alleged that her brother's in-laws were behind the "murder", the officer added.
Both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, said Mathura Senior Superintendent of Police Mohit Gupta, adding that the police is probing all the angles including the allegations levelled by the elder daughter of the deceased man.
