Bodies of two girls, aged 20 and 13, were found on the banks of the Kadana river at Sivasailam in this district today, police said.
Police said the girls, who were cousins, were very much attached to each other and used to play and chat together for a long time.
The father of one of the girls had reportedly warned her against talking to the other and this upset the cousins who left home and allegedly consumed cool drinks laced with pesticide granules.
Police are investigating.
