A car caught fire on the Eastern Expressway near Vikhroli bridge this evening.
The incident took place at around 8.30 PM, said an official of the BMC's disaster control room.
A fire engine was sent to the spot and the flames were brought under control quickly, he said, adding that nobody was injured in the incident.
Short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire.
