A woman staff of a private hospital here alleged that a doctor alleged attempted to rape her, police said today.
SP City Santosh Kumar Mishra told newsmen here today that police registered a case against cardiologist R B Singh and woman manager of the hospital after the woman lodged a complaint against them.
In her complaint, the woman alleged that Singh attempted to rape her in his room in the private hospital and threatened her with dire consequences if she tells anybody about the matter.
Police has started investigation into the matter and has not yet arrested the accused.
