The Delhi High Court today sought responses of the city government and Tihar jail authorities on a plea by September 2011 Delhi High Court blast case accused Wasim Akram Malik to shift him from the prison alleging threat to life there and seeking medical treatment.
A bench of Justice Siddharth Mridul also issued notice to the National Investigation Agency and sought their response before September 15 over the allegation made by Malik that the agency has taken his statement forcefully.
The court directed Tihar authorities to take Malik in custody to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for his treatment.

Malik has approached the court alleging that other inmates in the jail have attacked him and even tried to kill him, and sought that he be shifted to another jail.
His counsel Mehmood Pracha sought protection so that such untoward incidents do not recur.
The September 7, 2011 terror attack at the high court's reception had killed 15 people and injured 79 others.
The trial court had framed charges under sections 121 (waging war against country), 121-A (conspiring to commit certain offences against the state), 122 (collecting arms with intention of waging war against government) and 123 (concealing with intent to felicitate a design to wage war) of the IPC against Malik.
The NIA had filed its charge sheet against six, including Malik, Dev and a minor, besides three others -- Amir Kamal, Junaid Akram Malik and Shakir Hussain Seikh alias Chhota Hafiz, who are suspected members of banned terror outfit Hizb-ul Mujahideen and are evading arrest. The minor's case is being adjudicated separately.
The charge sheet against the six accused was filed under various sections of the IPC dealing with murder, criminal conspiracy, waging war against the nation, attempt to murder, causing grievous hurt and others, besides various offences under the Explosive Act and the UAP Act.
