Railway minister Suresh Prabhu today assured that funds would be no constraint in pushing the Railway projects in Himachal Pradesh and for the first time Rs 353 crore had been allocated in the budget.
Prabhu who was in Kullu and Manali today to highlight the achievements of Modi government in past one year said that sufficient funds have been provided fur survey of Bhanupali-Manali-Leh railway track which which was strategic from defence point of view and Rs 60 crore have been earmarked for converting the Pathankot-Joginder Nagar meter gauge railway line into broad gauge.
The centre was making all possible efforts to connect its border areas by roads and rail networks and was keen to expand and strengthen the Railway network in Himachal, he said responding to queries regarding construction of Railway Line up to Tibet Border by China.

He said that the successive governments did not do justice to Himachal in the past but not the present government and said all the projects in the pipeline would get sufficient funds.
Prabhu also addressed meeting at Kullu and flagged off the Kalka-Veshnodevi rail service online from Manali.
