The airline has bagged a second prestigious award for Best Staff Service in Central Asia and India at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards 2012 held at Farnborough International Air show in London, a statement from the airline said today.
"To be recognised at the world stage for the two most prestigious accolades is indeed an exhilarating yet humbling experience. It's really big for us and this recognition is proof enough to let everybody know that customer service is not just a department but an attitude," Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo, said in the statement.
"What's even more thrilling is that we are the only airline from India to have received an award at the World Airline Awards this year. This makes the occasion even more special and momentous", he added.
The passenger survey for these awards covered 246 airlines, from the largest international airlines to small domestic carriers, and measured standards across more than 38 different items of airline front-line product and service.
Operated over a 10-month period, the passenger survey achieved more than 18.8 million interviews, drawn from over 100 different nationalities across the world.
